Today Source Mod has been updated with Left 4 Dead 2 support.  Source Mod is an amazing tool for admins only that allow controlling of the game and game session while playing.  The ban list has been reimplemented into the server (was not possible until Source Mod was installed). We take pride in our Ban List and it is very exciting to have this feature added back into the server. Remember the ban list contains (but not limited to): griefers, boycotters, people that are constant and consistently AFK (Away From Keyboard), cheaters, trash talkers, spammers (mic and voice), and those that were deemed detrimental to the experience of other players. Remember to follow the rules that we do not have posted anywhere.

For some reason many people are have been emailing us referring to The Rage Cage as a clan and even challenging us to a battle over which "clan" gets to own the game server and the website. The best way to explain this, is that The Rage Cage is NOT a clan. The Rage Cage is a game server, and a side website dedicated to the game server. The only people running the server and site are Napalmdest54 and PJthePlayer. This information has been available to the public on the About Us page since the creation of the website.

The Rage Cage is proud to announce that very shortly that our current Left 4 Dead server will transfer to Left 4 Dead 2, once the sequel is made available. This should happen at 12:00 AM, if no hiccups occur. The website will be updated once this transfer is completed.

We are already making the preparations to ensure that our hard earned work to ensure that all players have the best experience. This means making a backup of the most current banned user list (by steam id). This list will also be made available to other game server owners. These banned users are banned for griefing, cheating, inappropriate names, terrible lag, disrespect, spamming (mic and text), constant afk, and of course boycotting.  As a movement to help other game server operators we have also included a small image banner at the top of the home page to point game server owners or future owners to a well respected and fast game server provider; we were also tired of people asking who our game server host was that gave everyone low pings.

With the great success that Left 4 Dead 2 has already shown, it is important to all that frequently play on The Rage Cage to buy the sequel as it will be the only game that will be officially supported by our game server.  See you there!

*Update* - The installation of L4D2 on the game server is now complete.  Happy zombie killing!

In light of all the accomplishments and good news as of late, I have pushed out a new layout for the website.
