According to the Left 4 Dead 2 blog, the development team is still alive.  The L4D team aknowledges that it has been awhile since the last l4d2 update and that the next one should be out in a few weeks. 

Some of the versus changes the team is currently working on include infected bots.  This will surely help even out those games where team members rage quit.  I wouldn't expect the infected bots to be anything less than perfect, seeing as how capable the human AI is...

Another change is the removal of the auto spawning in the finales.  I truly welcome this change, as most are tired of being spawned far away with a boomer, just to be shot and killed making the long journey to spray potential victims.

The new design, also known as a template in Joomla scene, has arrived.  This is the most current theme released by RocketTheme (Jan10 Dominion).  Since we used transparent pngs as a basis for integrating components, modules, and sections of the site they still (to some extent) intergrate decently into the new theme.  However, I will make improvements to them in a small, steady stream of updates to the site.  Enjoy the new template.

Soon The Rage Cage will be sporting a new design.  I have decided that it is 2010 after all, why not use a brand new template?  This new template that will be used is currently in the testing phase.  I must ensure that template will work with the site and of course work out as many bugs as possible before implementation into the production site.  So far things are looking very good and the release will be coming up soon.

The current template is a modified version of the Refraction template from RocketTheme.  The new template, called "dominion" is also from RocketTheme.  Once implemented, it will take some time for certain components, modules, and other parts of the site to be redesigned to fit the new template.  

Alright no more DragonBall Z analogies.  Last night The Rage Cage had banned its 500th player that broke the rules.  The length of out ban list is just a testament of how much we watch over the server.  We are proud of this list as this will continue to allow gamers to play Left 4 Dead 2 without having to worry about griefers, cheaters, constant and consistent afk, spammers (mic and text), etc.  For other server owners the list is available for download here, just make sure the file is in the left4dead2->Left4dead2->cfg folder.

Remember that today is (supposedly) the last day of the Steam Holiday deals.  Killing Floor is just $4.99, and is a game The Rage Cage has been considering getting a game server up for (be prepared).  Today has no one time deal on steam, instead is a return of the best selling daily deals, that is titled " Encore! Encore!"
